THE COUNCIL. The Legislative Council met at -.3U p.m. The following local Bills were reported without amendments—Waimakarii;i Harbour Board Empowering; New Plymouth Recreation and Racecourse Amendment.
The Native Trustee Bill and Matrimonial causes Amendment Bill were read a third time. The Council rose at 4.7 p.m.
THE HOUSE. The House met at 2.30 p.m. The House, immediately went into Committee of Supply to consider the Imprest Supply Bill, appropriating £3,171,900 for salaries, wages and general purposes. ’Hie debate was continued till 1.25 a.m., when the second reading was agreed to and the Bill was put through the remaining stages ns a matter of urgency. The House rose at 1.30 p.m. till 7.30 p.m. on Monday.
