ADDINCTON STOCK MARKET. A MODERATE MARKET. (By Telegraph.—Special to Guardian.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Messrs Matson and Co. report as follows regarding their stock sale yesterday:—
Store sheep.—A small yarding, principally composed of hoggets, which sold equal to last week’s quotations. Rest wethers sold to 38s; ewe sheep all counted 18s Id; hoggets from 23s to 28s fid; a few extra good half-bred hoggets making 32s 2d. Store Cattle.—A small yarding all round, and owing to the inclement weather, a small crowd, but the enquiry was good and the market firm, \cailings°and 18-mos mixed sexes brought £-1 "ins t 0 £6; 18-mos and 2-vr heifers £6 10s to £7 I os; 2 to 21-yr steers to £ll. No big cattle were offering. Fresh cows £6 to° £7 15s, a few extra good making to £9. Reef,—A smaller yarding, including some excellent quality. The market was firmer. Best bullocks sold to £33 15s, some extra good ones making £36 10s; prime £23 15s to £2B; medium £lB 10s to £23; lighter and graziers £l4 to £l7 15s; best heifers £l6 to £ 19155; extra prime to £24; others £ll 10s to £ls 10s. Cows, £l3 to £l7; extra good to £2l 15s; lighter £9 10s to £l2 15s. Mutton.—A similar yarding to last week, mostly wethers, but very few of outstanding quality. The market opened firmer than last week, but eased decidedly towards the end. Best wethers sold to 565, one small consignment of extra good making to 745. Prime 42s lighter 33s to 35s Gd. Not many graziers'were operating and very few ewes were offering.
