Hon MacGregor .gave notice in the Council of tho Marriages Amendment Bill No 2. Ilis bill provides that a Registrar General is not to. enter on the list of officiating Ministers, firstly, the name of any Bishop, priest or Minister of the Roman Catholic Church so long as the Ne Tcmere decree, or chapter one of tho decree of the Council of Trent, referred to in the Ne Temere decree, is in force in New Zealand; or secondly, the name of any Bishop, Priest or Minister of any church which by any article of religion, confession of faith, creed or catechism, denies or questions directly, or by im- > plication, the validity in any sense of marriages solemnised in accordance with the provisions of the Marriage Act.
