CATHOLIC PROTEST.

"HAWEIIA, Sept. 20,

The Catholic congregation unanimously resolutioned condemning the proposed marriage law amendment as being an encouragement of the violation of the marriage bond, marriage being an ordinance of God, against which the State is powerless. If the amendment is adopted the congregation promised to support their Bishops, in whatever steps they take, and declared no threat, fine or imprisonment shall drive us to act the paty of dumb dogs, in the fact of t.he'~nermcious code of public morality that is oating into the life of the nation.
