AUSTRALIAN NEWS. (Received this day at 9.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, Sept. 13. Initial steps arc being taken in all States to float companies with a capital aggregating fourteen millions to promote woollen manufacture in Australia. Mil Hansen, vice-president of the Rugby Union Referees Association, and formerly a Wellington player and! referee, advocates strict maintenance of amateurism in Rugby. He suggests the adoption of a seven pack, to improve the game and believes New Zealand would abolish wing forward if Australia, reduced the scrum. MELBOURNE, Sept. 13. The Federal Ministry is immediately introducing a superannuation scheme to include permanent military forces.
