LE TEMERE DECREE. j SYDNEY, September 11. In reference to the allegation that attempts made in Australia to inquire into the operation of Le Temere decree had been frustrated, Reverend Profes sor Mclntyre, secretary of the Committee of Protestant churches which dealt with the subject, explains that the 6nly matter the Committee had concerned themselves with was that New South Wales State authorities should not, as they have been doing in some instances, reregister mixed marriages where the ceremony was again performed at the instigation of Catholic priests. Their efforts had esulted. in the Attorney-Genera-l issuing regulation against such registration unless there was reasonable doubt as to the validity of the first ceremony. CHALLENGE TO WORKERS. SYDNEY, September 10. The Federal authorities at the navy dockyards have issued a proclamation to the employees stating that if the men cease work on Saturday in order to hold any stop meetings the works will be closed on Monday,
