MOKE ABOUT TUB A.B.C. MOTOR CYCLE Read about tlio Gear Box. GEAR BOX.—The Gear Box is* bolted directly to the back of the crank case, and the bevel drive is bolted to the back of the Gear Box. Thus the Engine, Clutch, Gear Box, and Bevel Drive together with the Cush Drive Sprocket, form one complete unit, which can be removed from the frame by undoing four bolts. The Gear Box has FOUR SPEEDS, running entirely on ROLLER and BALL-BEAR INGS, and it can be run for hours on end on any of the lower gears without injury or wear, or risk of seizure. The main shaft is splined, and is formed in one piece with the bevel pinion. The gears are therefore of the sliding type and when it is on top gear NO WHEELS ARE SPINNING IDLY. All joints are well spigoted, and the Gear Box is lubricated with Vacuum “C” gear oil. The outer end of this shaft » carries two separate and distinct A.B.C. • RUBBER BUFFER CUSH I DRIVES, which remove all shocks of any kind. The adoption of the ( hovel drive, besides OBVIATING THE NECESSITY OF THE HIGHSPEED ENGINE CHAIN lowers the number of drives on an all-chain-drive machine from four to three. It also avoids the necessity of the unsightly and inaccessible chain case, and removes at once the ihost PROMINENT SOURCE OF NOISE, on the modern motor cycle: I I I I I I I I DOMINION, | CYGLE & MOTOE WORKS I We’ll have more to tell you next week! fJEVELL STREET.
