He was shot A large party of masked men broke into the house of a farmer named Lonergan at Touraneena, Waterford, and shot his eldest son whilst sleeping in a bedroom. The father and another son ran into the yard and were severely dealt with by the use of sticks. Inother farmer living in Caber heard a knocking at his door. He opened ;t and was shot dead.
