*—*— ■ * —— Grand and common Jury notices are being served for appearance at the sitting of the Supreme Court at Hokitika oil Wednesday, Sept. Bth. . The river banks at present are a scene of some activity, whitebait, catchers preparing their trenches for the corning season. So far the fish have not made their appearance in a fishable quantity. An accident Happened to a young man named George Callaghan of Riinu this afternoon. He was riding on the Rimu coach and when near Willptt’s corner on the Kapieri road Ik? jolted put of coach; ope of' the wheels passing oyer him.. He wag removed to Hokitika for medical attention, just before we wept to press. The doctor reported no bones are broken, but he will be off work for a week.
