AGAINST BOLSHEVISM. (Received this day at 9.30 a.m.) PARIS, August 25. French unionists have pronounced flatly against Bolshevism. M. Tamoulet, the railwaymen’s leader, said that if they attempted to establish Bolshevism in France, the dictators, no matter how popular at the outset, would be publicly beheaded within a week. M. Johhaux, (Secretary of the General Labour Confederation) said the Confe tion would allow neither Lenm nor any one else to interfere and impose a y profession of faith on French Unionism, which would remain an economic instrument. The worker would not Jbecome a prey to any dissolvent political movement.
RUSSO-POLISH NEWS. (Received this day at 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, August 26. In compliance with the ultimatum cabled on the 24th,, Bolsheviks agreed to withdraw the demand for Polish workmen’s militia. * A Moscow wireless states Dombsky, chairman of the Polish delegation at the third session of the peace negotiations announced that tho basis of Soviet proproposals were generally unacceptable. A wireless from Moscow states the Bolsheviks have launched a counter attack towards Brest Litovsk.
MESSAGE TO POLAND. / LONDON, August 27. Britain, Franco, Italy and America sent a message to Poland advising restraint regarding Russia. America urges Poland to stop unnecessary blood shed and adhere to the boundaries as fixed by the Treaty of Versailles.
