ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET. MARKET EASIER,

CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Messrs Matson and Co. report as follows regarding their stock sale yesterday:— Reef, —A large yarding and not much difference in prices. Best steers sold to £4O, one good truck of steers making £32 to £37; prime £22 to £3l; medium £l6 10s to £2l; lighter and grazers £l4 10s to £l6 ss; best cows £2l 15s to £24; prime £l3 15s to £24; prime £l3 5s to £lB 15s; others £8 5s to 12 10s; heifers to £l9 15s; good £l3 5s to £ls 15s; others £lO 10s to £l2 15s.

Store sheep. A medium yarding and the market all round was again easier and buyers show a decided tendency to ha;ng off especially all dealers and foreign stuff. Best S.M. ewes 26s to 30s. One small line of good first cross 2-tootli ewes 495; best wethers to 35s Gd; others-26s to 335; hoggets M.S. to 33s for verly best, others 21s to 26s Gd. One line of good ewe hoggets made 31s 3d.

Store cattle.—A fairly large yarding comprising mostly mixed sorts. 3 and 4 year steers £lO 10s to £l2 15s; 18mpnths to 2 year steers £8 5s to £9 10s; yearlings £3 15s to £5 17s Gd; 2yoar old heifers £6 10s to £7 ss; dry cows £5 15s to £8 10s. Tho quality all round wap indifferent, but the demand was fairly good. Fat sheep.—Another large yarding and after last week’s big entry the market was considerably easier, anything from 2s to 4s front last week. Grazers were again operating for unffnished. Rest wethers to 58s 6d; prime 41s to 52s Gd; medium 36s Gd to 40s Gd; lighter and unfinished 34s to 365. Not many ewes wore offering, but they sold at about the same parity.
