Stuart and Chapman (Mr Murdoch) for certificate of protection on timber rights at Pukekura. Objection by D. J. S. Diedriehs, (Mr Joyce). Adjourn ed from the Ross court.

The Warden, stated that in this ap--plication the applicants held it was too late for an objection to be raised after the hearing had come before the court a,nd had been adjourned. He found that when the original application had come before the court, it was inaccurate and insufficient. It had been adjourned for plaintiff to put it in order. When a true application had been compiled and dealt with an objection had been put in which was held to be too late and the grant bad been recommended to the Minister.

He found that the application wys heard on its merits on June 16th. and at was now T°o late to lodge an objection, and lie must deal with the application as one unopposed. The application for protection would be granted as from the date of the Minister’s recommendation, August 17th, R. Wells, J, J. Mclntsoh, M. Houston and R. O. Speed, (Mr Wells), for four special claims. Now approved by Minister.—Granted. Wm. O’Brien, hand-sawing and timber splitting warrant. —Granted. George Veale, handsawing and timber splitting warrant. —Granted. J. Park and J. A. Murdoch, for license for a. tramway, Jackson’s Bay.— .\djoumcd for report. F. E. Dale, (Mr Welly) tor protection for sawmill license, Kamieri.— Granted, for three months, declaration to be filed. W. H. Robinson, certificate ot protection of sawmill license.—Granted, subject to declaration being filed. Ivnpitea. Goldfields, Ltd. (Dir Murdoch), for. surrepejer of titles.—Adjourned. SUIT FOR EORFEITUBE, Gordon H'nreourt, (Dir Murdoch) v. George Linklater, (Mr Joyce and Mr Pilkington), suit for cancellation ot .four water races, and two dams, Lake Mudgee. (Left sitting.)
