RUSSIAN PLIGHT.
(Received this day at 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, August 25. The latest official reports estimated out of twenty one Russian Divsions in Poland, six are entirely destroyed, eight have lost fifty percent of thenstrength and the remainder are much shattered find worn out.
Several thousand Sinn Eein sympathisers gathered outsido Ruxton gaol in connection with the Lord Mayor of Cork, who is said to ibo dying. They booed the Government and made ugly rushes upon the police who used their batons freely. A number of arrests were made.
Dublin Castle denies that the Constabulary showed a want of discipline and explains the meeting at Dublin barracks was confined to expressions of indignation at the assassination of comrades.

A GERMAN VIEW. (Received this day at 11.30 a.m.) BERLIN, August 24. The newspapers'state the French war office expects the Russo-Polish war will he of long duration. France is hastening an extensive equipment for Poland and Wrangel for the winter campaign.
