WELLINGTON, August 24 THE COUNCIL.
The Council met at 2.30 p.m. The Legislative Council Amendment Bill was further adjourned. Tho Masseurs Bill was put through Committee. Now clauses wore added preventing the recovery of fees by any other than a registered Masseur, or medical practitioner. The Arms Bill, in committee, was amended to provide payment for weapons taken. The Agricultural and Pastoral Bill was read a second time.
THE HOUSE.
The House met at 2.30 p.m. lloplying to Mr MacDonald, Mr Massey said tho Labour trouble oil the waterfront was hoing investigated. He hoped a settlement would be readied. Meantime, if tlie interruption of tho lighting service continued, the House would be asked to practice daylight saving, sitting from eleven in the morning til 4.30 in the afternoon. The rest of the silting was occupied in a discussion on the Agricultural Department report. Tho wholo evening sitting went in discussion of a motion to go into committee on the War Regulations Continuance Bill. The House rose at 10.35 p.m.
