FOOTBALL.

j The schoolboys team for to-morrow 1 afternoon consists of H. Williams, Pal- ! mac, McDonald, King, Houston, Butland (capt.) Heinz, T. Staines, C. Fowler, Raine, Gibbons, E. Glass, W. Lakin, i W.’ Gooch, W. Wogan, R. Nightingale. I The Southern Division team has been altered, three men dropping out, and will now be as follows: —Full back L. ,Ross; Three-quarters, Wogan, Bethune, Wright; five eighths, Wells, Irving (captain); half, Hannan; wing forward Johnson; forwards, Devaney, Nancc(kivell, Cutbush, Wallace, Askew, Powj ley, and Martyn. j The football match to-morrow after- | noon on Cass Square between teams repj resenting the Southern Division and the I visiting Marist Club of Christchurch, should prove an interesting one. On the reputation that the visitors bring with them, they should' not have a- very difficult task to gain a victory, and a substantial margin of points thrown in. They have had the distinct advantage of having played together in Club football in Christchurch through the season and should have a splendid combination that will take a lot of stopping. To collar | low is the only possible way of doing that, and local players have failed badly in this particular. The visitors should be able -to put up a good, clean fast exhibition that should be worth watching and there will doubtless be a good attendance to witness the game, which will start at 3 o’clock. Mr L. Hills will referee the game. The visitore come through from Christchurch to-day and arrive this evening. There will be a curtain raiser at 1.30 p.m., when the local school boys meet a team from the Grey Marists school under 8 stone.
