The PISTONS ARE OF ALUMINIUM, and produced from die castings, which effectively prevents pre-ignition, konking etc., such as occurrfed in other air cooled engines. _ The engine can he relied upon to very comfortably attain 7 BRAKE I HORSE POWER, hut the machine is nominally called a. 3 H.P. The | engine is situated athwart the frame, with the cylinders projecting out each side in order to obtain a suitable and even draught on to each cylinder, thus assisting perfect synchronisation of the two cylinders and equal horse power development. The overall width of the Engine across the cylinders is so short that the foot-rests and mudshields are much wider than the engine, thereby preventing damage in the case of a fall.
