The Canterbury delegates returned from South Westland on Saturday afternoon, and went north by the 5 o’clock train for /Jreymouth. Tlie Public Works Department has accepted the tender of Messrs Fleming and party, Kokatnbi, for -the erection of Municipal road bridge, Koiterangi. When in the. district in May last, tne Hon. J. G. Coates promised to have the structure erected for the milk suppliers to the factory in time for the commencement of the coming season. The weekly euchre tournament and dance will be held on to-morrow, luesday evening at St. Mary’s club rooms. As the Marist football team have signified their intention of being present, the euchre will start at 8 o’clock punctually. In order not to disappoint the lovers of cards the full eight games will be played for which the usual prizes will be given.
