WESTLAND LAND PURCHASE ADVISORY BOARD,
The above Board met yesterday, 19th inst., to consider offers of land submitted for discharged soldiers. Present: Messrs R. Galbraith, Commissioner of Crown Lands, (Chairman), Wm. Clay ton, G. Perry and T. A. Ecclesfield, (r(iimw-<l soldier). The Commissioner in welcoming the members explained the functions lor which the Board was set up. Several properties under otter were considered and dealt with. The Board passed a resolution to the ,effect' that owners of properties be ask- • ed* bs) a(|verijsenien,t, to submit freehold properties suitable; for cutting up into two or three farms for discharged solders. The Board adournjed and will he called fpgefher' to consider offers when received.
