GRAND FETE AND SALE OF WORK.
TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY NEXT

attraction for all and sundry pii Tuesday and Wednesday of next week, when a grand fete and sale of work in am of All Saints’ Church building fund is to be .held. The picture shows are being specially suspended on those two evenings by the kind permission of the proprietors, and the large building will be converted into a western bazaar. Stalls will be erected round thp building, and all kinds of goods will be 011 sale. For several weeks past \yorkjng bees of the senior and junior sewing guilds of the Church have been busy preparing for the event, and the result will disclose a great array of useful articles for household utility, Plain and fancy work sewing will ho displayed in a great variety of useful articles, all tastes and prices being catered for. In addition there will be childrens’ stalls, not forgetting the fish pond, while the' men’s wants will he specially catered for at a stall conducted solely to supply their requirements.
In the way of entertainment a special fete has been arranged by Mrs W. Staveley who lias achieved many a success in local organisations. On this occasion Mrs Staveley has a fine chorus of seniors, and they will present in costume nippy ifojqs qf special merit. Among the number will be flip operatic “Anvil Chorus,” and,the •“Barcarolle.” Other numbers will Include “Bubbles,” “Hindustan,” “Hawnian Butterfly,” and a novelty “Smoke Clouds”-—a late London success. A special item will be the classic dance “Spring Song,” while other dances and movements will be introduced with the chorus work. Several solos will he contributed by our j leading amateurs, so that an entertainment of special merit will be supplied. The special object in view, combined witl) tj;e excellent value to' be contributed should result ip the bazaar being tiie popular attraction for tho two brief sessiqns it will b.e pinnipg.
