POLLARD’S PICTURES. WEDNESDAY. “THE HAYSEEDS AT THE MELBOURNE CUP.”
On Wednesday Pollard’s Pictures will screen Beaumont Smith's Australian Production. The third ol' the series, following right on after “The Hayseeds Come to Town.” Dad buys a moke for sixteen quid and it turns out a winner. You see Dad buy the moke, and they take it to Melbourne to train it for the Cup. You see Dad put it all over the “books” when Mr Hayseed’s “Cornstalk” romps home. Poppy’s little romance is in this series too. Dad and the boys were fair game for the “Jocks” at the stables, but they were able to hold their own By cripes! Hayseed’s ain’t no mugs. On Thursday Pollards will screen Mary Miles Minter in ‘A Batchelor'<'Wife.” A delightful Irish story with the breath of the Shamrock wafting through every foot of film, a tale of two true daughters of Erin.
