LEAGUE TEST. WELLINGTON, August 10. The final League test match, New Zealand versus England was played on the Basin Reserve in cold bitter weather and 1 ground very heavy. England was lucky to win by 11 points to 10, three minutes from time New Zealand were leading by 10 to 0. New Zealand’s forwards played a. great game throughout. For England, Bacon, Bowers and Clarke scored, Gronow converting one. For New Zealand Ifwersen and Walters scored. Ifwerson converted one and kicked a penalty goal.
