Tile Now Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club’s August- Meeting was continued to-day in fine but cold weather, the track was heavy. The attendance was good and speculation brisk, £59,469 t going through the machine, as against £50,939 on the second day of last year. Results:— IMPROVERS’ HANDlCAP.—Parkfield 1, Mise Patty 2, Lady Linwood 3. Won by two lengths. Time 4.7 2-5. DASH HANDICAP.—Captain Stanley 1, Nancy Stair 2, Frank Tracey 3. Won by two lengths.
