Tile Now Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club’s August- Meeting was continued to-day in fine but cold weather, the track was heavy. The attendance was good and speculation brisk, £59,469 t going through the machine, as against £50,939 on the second day of last year. Results:— IMPROVERS’ HANDlCAP.—Parkfield 1, Mise Patty 2, Lady Linwood 3. Won by two lengths. Time 4.7 2-5. DASH HANDICAP.—Captain Stanley 1, Nancy Stair 2, Frank Tracey 3. Won by two lengths. ' Time 4.17 4-5. KING GEORGE HANDICAP, —Author Dillon 1, Emilus 2, Albert Cling 3. Won by a length. Time 4.38 3-5. BELGIUM HANDICAP,— Royal Step 1, Legacy 2, The Whip 3. Won hv two lengths. Time 3.49 1-5. LINCOLN HANDlCAP,—Coldstream 1, Mara 2, Prince Burlington 3. Won by three lenghts. Time 3.49 1-5. AVON HANDlCAP.—'Theseus 1, Reta Peter 2, King Capitalist 3. Won by six lengths.
