.. ISI lif I.J AN iV >.Z CAlil.l; ASSOCIATION | PRESS CONFERENCE OPENS. (Received this day at 9.20 a.m.) OTTAWA, August Gth. The Imperial press Conference opened yesterday. Spec-lies were delivered by tlii- Governor General, Prime .Minister, .Al'eiglien, and AlcKenzie and King (Loader of the Opposition). In welcoming the delegates all dealt on the para- j mount importance the conference bore | towards Empire development, Imperial ; unity and creation of a better under- j standing between Great Britain and the Dominions. The day’s discussion was j devoted to urging upon the respective governments the imperative need for better facilities for cable, wireless and other communications. The delegates were entertained at dinner by Govern- i : ment. ,
