In welcoming the delegates all dealt on the para- j mount importance the conference bore | towards Empire development, Imperial ; unity and creation of a better under- j standing between Great Britain and the Dominions. The day’s discussion was j devoted to urging upon the respective governments the imperative need for better facilities for cable, wireless and other communications. The delegates were entertained at dinner by Govern- i : ment. ,
