LONDON, Aug 6. The Irish organisations at Liverpool declare that Dr Mannix will receive the greatest welcome accorded any Irishman to Liverpool, where lie is due on Sunday cvening-or Monday morning. Contingents from 'many Lancashire towns will participate in the welcome, and as religious feling is likely to he deeply stirred the authorities are anxious and are taking great precautions. The public will, they state, be excluded from the dock and the arrival of the Baltic will be kept as secret as possible.
There is even a possibility of the ship being diverted to another port. The Cork City Corporation will send a deputation to England to confer the Freedom of the City on Dr Mannix. The Sinn Fein Executive at Cork lias ordered the people to hang out flags on Sunday in Dr Mannjx’s honour. The Sjnn Feipers in the South of Ireland have arranged for a series of bonfires aJong the coast. ■ The Baltic is now likely to take the northern route round Ireland. The Dublin City Corporation at a special meeting has decided to confer the Freedom of the City of Dublin on Archbishop Mannix-
