"Messrs Daigcty and Company Limited advise having received the following cablegram from their London House under date of the 16th instant:— , “Wool sales continue- with little animation. 90,000 hales were offered and barely half sold. As compared with last sales closing rates, prices for good meroni vombings ary 5 per cent, lower, merino wools of other descriptions 10 per cent lower, except inferior and faulty merino wool. Inferior and faulty scoured merinos were mostly withdrawn. Prices for come-back wools are rather higher, crossbred wools par to 5 per cent, medium crossbred wools 5 per cent lower. Coarse crossbred wools and inferior crossbred wools were neglected and largely withdrawn. Sliped crossbred wools were withdrawn, except fine slipes. New Zealand crossbred wools super fine and light, 5 per cent, higher.”
