AMUSEMENTS.

POLLARD’S PICTURES. “THE HOODLUM” TO-NIGHT. Mary Pickford in “The Hoodlum” the socond great picture from her own studio will he presented by International Attractions in the Princess Theatre tonight. In her first picture “Daddy Long Legs,” Mary Pickford found out what patrons wanted and in “Tlie Hoodlum” she gives them what they want. 'That “The Hoodlum” is the greatest role Mary Pickford has ever played is borne out by all. The little star has more than justified her dual reputation in this picture. She is ten Mary Pickfords, we have never seen before, each one new and refreshening. Her second production reveals, depths of verstility that she has not hitherto displayed, probably through lack of oppor_ tunity. The picture lives up to its advertised description—“the picture of 1000 laughs,” for it is a riot of laughter from beginning to end. The 11th episode of “The Man of Might” will be screened as a curtain raiser to “The Hoodlum.” Prices will be 2s and Is plus tax and seats for the dress circle can be reserved at Mclntosh’s.

MCLEAN’S pictures. “I’Ll/ GET HIM YET” FRIDAY On Friday evening Mr McLean presents a fine Paramount film entitled “I’ll Get Him Yet,” featuring the ever popular Dorothy Gish. The other big star is a five-act Fox “Luck and Pluc-k” starring George Walsh. This nimble actor goes through every kind of stunt lie can think of. The story is a fast one, and shows how George saves the daughter of the head of the U.S. Intelligence Bureau from a band of conspira_ tors, to one of whom she is engaged. It is replete with thrills. George rides a motor cycle right into a house, chases a speeding automobile, rescues the girl from a runaway horse and has a desperate fight in an automobile oil ft shaky bridge, the machine finally plunging into the waters below. , The serial “The Grey Seal” will also he continued.
