(Per Press Association.) HOLMES BEATS VOL AIRE. PALMERSTON N., July 21. The fight between Holmes and Volaire went the full fifteen rounds in the presence of a large gathering at Da inevirke this evening. Colonel Stew irt was referee. The' result was a wellmerited victory on points for the Australian. It was a fine bout to waten. Holmes displayed splendid form. His ring generalship was excellent all through. Volaire did not appear at any stage to have a good chance ox winning. Summing up the contest it may be said that Holmes won rather easily.
