A FRIENDLY INVASION
Representatives of the Canterbury Progress League, the Industrial Association and the Chamber of • Commerce are to make a twelve days visit to the 1 West Coast next month. The partyten or twelve in number—will leave Christchurch on August 17th., and the itinerary will be as follows: Tuesday, August 17th. —Christchurch to Hokitika, via Arthur’s Pass tunnel. Wednesday—Visit neighbouring districts including Arahura, Lake Kaniei', and Kokatahi. Public meeting at Hokitika in evening to discuss Westland wants. Thursday—Hokitika to Wailio Gorge via Okarito. Public meeting at nigh l . Friday—Visit Wataroa and Hari Hari. Public meeting at night. Saturday—Visit Waitaha and Ros= proceed to Groyinoutli. August 22nd and 23rd.—Grcymout i. August 24th., 25th., 26th.—Westport. , August 27th.—Reefton. August 28tli.—Return to Chnsfchurch.
