ENGLISH LEAGUE TEAM. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, July 19. The English Northern Union football team arrived from Australia by the Malieiio this afternoon, and will lie accorded a civic reception to-morrow. The first match *f the New Zealand tour will In- that against Auckland'on Saturday. The manager of the team (Mr S. Foster), in aii interview, said he considered the team was the fastest that had ever left England. He did not think they had yet produced their best form. The Eng-, lishmen should have won the first test match in Australia, hut they ployed much below their true form. For their loss of the second test match there was no excuse, arid the better team won.
