SATURDAY, JULY 17th. The Board met at 5 p- m - Present : Messrs-R. Wild, (Chairman), C. JNightingale and J. J. Breeze. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed, and outward correspondence approved. INWARD CORRESPONDENCE. From Turnbull and Jones, Welling- __ ton, re agency for Warrington Mire Ropes Works, list of ropes manufactur. ed.—Received. ... From Cummins and Little, Wellington, giving-list of agency controlled by them.—Received. From Post and Telegraph Department Hokitika, replying that there were no table telephones in stock and unable to obtain any from Wellington; but re. quest would be attended to as soon as telephones were available.— Received. From Harbours Association, Wellington, stating a meeting of executive would be held in Wellington on 16 th just., giving particulars of business.. Received. From Harbormaster reporting tha > the channel is running fairly straigh with a depth of 12 feet at spring tides and 9 feet at neap tides. Reporting that timber had been ordered for repairs to wharf and when delivered repairs would be attended to.-Receive . Two tenders were received for tlie purchase of the oil launch, but were not dealt with until a full meeting of the Board was present. , ’ Receipts since last meeting totalled ■£lsß 5s 10d, while accounts passed io - . payment amounted to £B2 12s 2d.
