Canadian Government Ships. Canada, like her Australian sister, has a Government steamship line. The Australian company js known as the Commonwealth Line, while that of Cpnpda boasts the proud title .of the Canadian Government Merchant Marine, Mr Moss, (j'anaejian Government Trade Commissioner in Australia had something to say recently regarding the activities of this State enterprise. fn his words the Government had embarked upon a “formidable shipbuilding programme.” Already about 50 cargo steamers bad been built or -contracted for.
