LOUISE MACK IN HOKITIKA.

An enormous audience gathered on Wednesday afternoon at the Princess Theatre, to hear Aliss Louise on, her war experiences and see her pictures. I bey broke into “Rule, Brittania” at the moving picture of the British marines arriving at Antwerp, and sang with great gustq, shewing a really remarkable, appreciation of the lecture and pictures both. When Miss Mack put on her slides, she questioned the children as to what each picture represented- A great hal'd nl tongues arose; shouts from little cliikL ren and big children filled the ail. “Thomas Edison,” “Marconi, Column Submarine,” “Sopwith Senpmue, they guessed them all. Only one face puzzled” them. “Don’t you know that man?” asked Miss Alack, “you ought to. A’ou know liis daughter. Her name is ‘Tin Lizzie.” and the children immediately cried, ‘Air Ford.’ ” At tiny dose, Air Brunton moved a vote of thanks to Miss Mack for her interesting and charming lecture, and the audience responded with loud and prolonged applause. ' Aliss Mack in returning thanks stated that she had never met more intelligent and well-informed children than those of Hokitika, and she called for three cheers for their teachers, in which children and adults heartily joined-
