BANK OF NEW ZEALAND
At the annual meeting of the Bank of New Zealand, held in recently, the chairman of directors—Mr Harold" Beauchamp—(lead in his usual masterly manner with all phases of-the Dominion’s financial problems. Mr Beauchamp made it quite clear that speculation.should he discouraged, while development and legitimate investment were'most desirable.
The Great Western Timber Go., Ltd., is being formed for the purpose of cutting the finest forests in the Domini .n, and as a result of such clearing of ’lie country, wonderful development .will take place. Shareholders in this great undertaking are, therefore, assisting m a national duty. Applications toi shares will be received liy any branch of the Bank of New Zealand, or from Messrs Frank Graham and Son, Christchurch, from whom prospectus may oe had.
