The first shock experienced by Clugston is the expulsion of liis younger daughter from college for flirting with a choir hoy. Then his son is arrested lor drunkenness and assaulting the police. Next-Clugston surprises his older daughter in the arms of his chauffeur. Clugston is further astonished by the discovery that his wife was a widow when 119 married her, and she had kept this fact secret from him for thirty years.
