RKI'FTON BOXING ASSOCIATION REEFTON, July b.

The newly-formed JReefto-a Boxing Association held its inaugural tournament in the Princess Theatre Reefton on Saturday night. The following are the results of the various bouts:

Feather—W. McDonald (Blackball), beat A. Goumble (Waiuta), and J. Bell boxed a bye with Flannigan. Final Bell beat McDonald.

lightweight.—Nielson (Blackball), bent Kelly (Waiuta) ■ Nelson (Grey) bet “Wailer” (Waiuta). Final—Nelson beat Nielson.

Welter-—Emerald v Burns—No decision .

Speech ißouts—“Rusty” (Waiuta) knocked Griffiths (Westport), in the fourth round.

McDonald (Blackball), beat Paspoe (Greymoutb). This want the full distance, the former winning easily oil points.

Dudley was the only bantam weight to put in an appearance, and this division was not contested. MILLERTON TOURNEY, WESTPORT, July 4.

Tim Milterton Boxing Association hold a moit successful amateur toifrna. ment on Saturday night. There was a good house, and the sport throughout was of a high order. In the exhibition spar between Jack O’Neill and Sailor o‘Dea it was more of the Kent thing than a spar and was responsible for plenty of excitement. This exhibition took the place of o’Niell-“Red-wing” professional congest, and it was anounced that these two would meet in four weeks’ time.

Open lightweight—O’Grady (10.0) v. Hornsby (10.0). The latter won, the towel coming from O’Grady’s corner in the second ronnd.

Special Bouts—Gus Pnrkey (9.0) v. Reilly (9J3), 6 rounds—This contest went the full distance ending in an easy win for' Parkey. Senior v. Garvey, 6 rounds.—This was a great fight and went the full distance. Senior got the verdict by a very narrow margin. Garvey got a groat hearing for his very game display.
