The shearers’'.section of the Australian Workers’ Union, dissatisfied with u .c conduct of affairs in connection with the existing dispute in the shearing industry, carried a resolution of no-conh-dence in the Union Executive, and also resolved to accept nothing less than the Queensland rates and conditions of shearing, for New South Wal.es.
TASMANIAN REVENUE. HOBART, July 4. The Tasmanian State revenue for the year was £1,812,000, an increase of £230,000 which is also a record.

A fire destroyed the Continenta Bag Company’s large premises at Alexandria with heavy stocks of paper and new machinery. The damage is. estimated at many thousands.

THE N.S.W. FLOODS. SYDNEY, July 3
The rain has practically ceased. Latest reports show that the floods are subsiding, though large areas are still under water. Some townships are isolated by the flood waters and there are railway wash-outs. ■ Manv residents on the low-lying ground along the rivers have been compelled to leave their homes. Some had exciting experiences. The damage ’s heavy in many districts, including much stock either drowned or perished through cold.
FEDERAL SALARY “GRAB.” MELBOURNE, July 3In tlie Federal House to-day, Mr Prouse gave notice of the introduction of a Bill to amend the Party Allowance Mr Hughes read correspondence between the Governmnet and Mr Watt. He stated that since that he (Mi Hughes) had returned from England, Mr Watt had resigned no fewer than three times. His resignation on the third occasion was accepted.
