1. —The Chairman to move.: “That the accounts presented for the month of June, 1620, as revised and recommended for payment by the Finance Committee, amounting to il —, be passed for payment.” 2. —The Chairman to move: “That in pursuance of the provisions of the Rating Act, 1608, and its amendments, and under and by virtue of section 117 of the Counties Act, 160 S, a general, rate of nine farthings in the ±1 sterling upon the capital value of the rateable property of the County of Westland as appeared on tlie Valuation Rofls, now in force, bo now made, the said rate to be for the year commenced on the Ist day of April, 1620, .and ending on the 131st day of March, 1621, and to be payable in one instalment at the office of the County Council of Westland at Hokitika on the 2f)th day of July, 1620.”

SPECIAL MEETING. (To sit at 3 p.m.) I.—The Chairman to move:—“That in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by Section 10 of the “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and with the consent of the ratepayers of the special rating rating area in the Westland County hereinafter described, testified by a petition signed by not less than three-fourths of the ratepayers of the said special rating area, the capital value of whose properties as appearing in the valuation roll of the said County is collectively greater than the capital values of the properties of the ratepayers who did not consent, the Westland County Council hereby resolves by way of special order as follows: — For the purpose of Petersen Road Extension, Inter-Wanganui District, the Westland County Council hereby authorises the raising of a loan of £450 at 5J per centum per annum for a period of fifteen years, and declares that the cost of raising the said loan and the hist year’s interest on the loan shall be payable out of the moneys so raised. SPECIAL RATING AREA. Sections 901, 902, 2250, Block I, Poerua S.D.

Sections 2829, 2830, M.O.L. 800, M.O. L. 1570, Block TV, Watnroa S.D.
