To-morrow afternoon the Southern Division fixtures will be continued.

On Cass Square at 1.30 p.m. the match between the Grey and Hokitika District High School teams takes place for the Wright-Stephenson Cup. This promises to be an excellent contest. Mr Downey will be referee.

At 3 p.m. immediately on the eonelusion of the school contest the senior game Diggers v. Kiwis, will be played when another good game should result. Mr Houston will control this game.

The other games Ross v. Excelsiors at Ross (Mr Barker), and Jtokatahi v. Kumara at Kumara (Mr Conning) should also prove interesting contests. Tlio 'following will represent the Excelsiors in their match against Ross on Saturday at Ross:—-Davidson, Aitken, Graham. Heenan D., Thompson, Madgwiek, Breeze, Fraser, Betlnme, Wogan A., Ross, Maunder, McDonald, Clietwvml,- AVogan N. Emergencies: E. Heenan, A. Cutbush. Robinson’s motor lorry will leave the Pioneer’s Memorial at 12.30 sharp.

The following will represent the Kiwis in their match with the Diggers on Cass Square to-morrow afternoon at 3 p.m.— Powley, Woolliouse, Stopforth, Jones, Irving, Kortegast, Duncraft, Cutbush, Shannon, Devancv,. Wilson, O’Connor, Kearns, Haile, Ross Walker. Emergencies, Glass, C. Cutbush.

The following will represent the Diggers in their match with Kiwis on Cass Square to-morrow afternoon: Devaney, Michel, Owens, Wells, Carle.v Tainui, Dowell, Keogan, Nanceldvell. Kearns, Muir, Cutbush, Brown Moigan and Inglis.

WELUNGTON, July L At to-night’s meeting of the Now Zealand Rugby Union intimation was received from the Southern selectors that the following players have been picked to represent the South Island country team: Backs: Osborne (Coast), O’Callaghan (Coast), Matrkham (Coast), Phillips (Marlborough); Ryan (Buller), Griffiths (Butler). Corby (Buller), Friend (Buller).

Forwards: Wylie (Coast), Fearey, (Nelson), Fisher (Marlborough), C. Hall (Coast), Watson (Nelson), O’Brien (Marlborough), Stewart (Buller), Snow (Nelson), E. King (Const), and Mason (Nelson). Mr H. T. Bailey was appointed Manager of the South Island team.

NEW ZEALAND RHP TEAM

WELLINGTON, July 1

At a meeting ol' the Management Committee of the New Zealand Uugb> Union to-Siight, the Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer were deputed to draw up an agreement with the New South Wales Union for the financing of the Australian tour on the following basis: New South Wales Union to pav all expenses of the New Zealand team and to take all gate receipts. Advances to the New Zealand Union to be paid out of the first gates, until fully paid up. It was decided to make arrangements for the New Zealand team which is to tour Australia to play a match at Wellington on the Wednesday (August lltli) following their return to the Dominion.

Pending their departure for Australia,. no members of the team "'ill, it was decided, lie permitted to take pait in provincial matches. Tt was reported, the following referees had been appointed for the matches before the departure of the New Zealand reps for Australia : July 10th v. Auckland at Auckland Air A. E. Wetherill. July 14 v. Wanganui, Manawatu and Horowhcnau at Palmerston North, Mr Jack O’Connor (Levin). The southern members of the New Zealand rep Rugby team are to assemble in Wellington on July Bth. and along with the Wellington members -will leave for Auckland the same day by the midday express, picking up the mid-island reps enroute. . The Taranaki men will join the train at Marton.
