In the Commons, replying .to Lord Curzon, 'Hon. Lloyd George stated'tho Allied Committee for ensurng tile trial of war criminals at Leipzig was not unduly delayed. Replying to Mr Bottomley, he said the failure to bring the ex-Kaiser to •justice was certainly a dereliction of duty on the part of the Government if the ox-Knlser were available, but lie thought he was not worth more bloodshed. He pointed out that Holland declined to surrender him, and be thought it was not desirable to use force.
Replying to Mr Claude Lowtlier, Hon. Lloyd George declared no pledge was given by the Government to compel the surrender of the ex-Kaiser. ;f he were in the power of a neutral power, who declined to give him up'.
