KOREAN POLITICS.

According to a despatch from Tokio, Japanese Government had decided to create a Legislative Assembly in the Korean provinces, as ti preliminary step towards) granting Korea self-Govern-ment. Only Koreans will be eligible lor election to the assemblies.

The New York “Times" Newport correspondent states the America Cup Defence Committee- has announced the [Resolute won several out of eleven races with the Vanito which is one of the contenders for tile defence of the Cup.

WASHINGTON, June -27. The Allies have asked Mr Wilson to call the first meeting of the League Assembly. State Department officials said the call will not be made immediately, since the Allies have not yet decided the time and place for the meeting.
