The Minister of Lands has forwarded s to the General Secretary of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers’ Association i a letter detailing tlie particulars of i 700.000 acres, which Air Massey stat- : ed during a recent deputation were ' available for settlement. The Minister writes advising the total area of land available for settlement by discharged soldiers as at the 31st. ult. was 691,141 acres, distributed throughout the Dominion as follows: —(This area varies front day to day.
