Tho Prince was enthusiastically welcomed at Newcastle, where he launched the Ennogira, the latest Commonwealth liner. He returned to Sydney to-night, departing later for Western Australia.
PASTORAL OUTLOOK. SYDNEY, June 25. The improvement in the pastoral outlook, as a result of the late rains, is responsible for a continued short supply and high prices of stock for meat purposes are snapped up. The meat position on the other side of the world is not troubling the graziers who declare it to be fifteen months at least before any exportable surplus will be available, and by that time the glut in England cold stores will be a tiling of the past. Prices are likely to be good. WOOL PROFITS. MELBOURNE, June 25. The Victorian Fair Profits Commission alleges that the woollen mills of Victoria are to-day making unduly high profits. The Commission have recommended the Government to control the profits of the industry.
