ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET. A FIBM.BR MARKET. (By Toiegraph.—Special to Guardian.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Messrs Matson and Co. report as follows regarding their stock sale yesterday:— \ Fat Cattle-There was a very heavy .yarding and good quality, several large station lines being forward. The demand was good for prime quality, but inferior, and cow beef was cheaper. Extra, steers sold to £33, prime £23 to £27/10/-; unfinished £l4 to £l7; cows and heifers £9/10/- to.£ll/10/-, and up to £24 for extra lieavy heifers. Store cattle—A very small yarding. A few 3 year old steers made £lO/10/-; other lines of steers 18 months to 2 years £5 to £6/5/-, dry cows £5 to £7. Exporters bought a few cows and bulls at a low price. Fat sheep—A smaller yarding of sheep than last week, including a large number of good sheep. Owing to today’s market being the last at Addington under the existing commandeer, freezing buyers were keen and the market consequently was much firmer. Best wethers sold to 66/-; prime, 42/-; to 55/6; good 38/- to 41/6 ; lighter, and inferior, 31/- to 36/6; ewes to 51/- a fe\v extra making more; prime 41/6 to 47/-; good sorts 33/- to 40/6; lighter 26/6 to 32/-. Lamb's were very firm. Store sheep—A small market and decided improvement in all, classes of sheep.. Best wethers sold up to 33/9; others 27/- to 30/-; best hoggets 24/-; others frofii 18/- to 22/-; best 2 tooth ewes up to 30/-, aged and inferior sorts from 15/6 to 24/-. The market was much firmer for all classes-of wethers and hoggets. • k ■
