CHINA REFUSES TO SIGN

SHANGHAI, June 17

The Cabinet of China have decided that China shall not sign the Turkish Peace Treaty, as China did not declare war against Turkey. Moreover, Cabinet realises that the Turkish Treaty is inconsistent with China’s policy regard, ing the abolition of the practice and theory, of the extra-territoriality, inasmuch as the Treaty provides for a continuation of Turkey’s capitulation.
