CORRESPONDENCE,

TIMBER SUPPLIES. (To the Editor.) Sir, —Noticing tho comments in Thursday’s paper upon timber supplies to the County Council, as one of the millers who have supplied .the Council in the past, on behalf of our firm I wish to refute the statement as set out in the leading article of the 18th., as at no time have we refused to supply the Council with timber that we were able to supply. * As to the alleged exorbitant prices charged, as prices are controlled by the Board of Trade, any miller runs an unnecessary risk by overcharging, and of timbers have fficir remedy as provided by law for any excessive prices charged, R. F. PERHAM, - For and on behalf of J. C. Malfroy and 00.
