ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET,
A STEADY MARKET.

' Messrs Matson and Co. report as follows regarding their stock 6ale yesterday:— Fat Cattle.—There wa s a smaller yarding of all classes and the demand was unchanged from last week. Extra steers sold to £32 15s; prime, £22 10s to £2O; lighter, £l4 to £18; cows and heifers, £S) 10s- to £l3, and up to 018 for extra.
Store cattle.—Only a few pens were yarded, exporters competing a shade more keenly for potters etc. No stores worth quoting were offered. Store sheep.—A small yarding and the market was much firmer all round, on account of the entry comprising mostly local sheep. Best wethers sold up to 335, others 27s to 31s; best hoggets up to 225; others from 15s 6d to 20s; best ewes up to 28s 6d, others from 17s to 20s.
Fat sheep.—Another large yarding and prices, especially towards the end of the sale were easier. Best wethers sold to 59s fid, prime 40s to 51 s; good 35s to 39s 6d, lighter and inferior 27s 6d’ to 34s 6d; ewes comprised the hulk of the market and were of a very mixed quality. They sold about on the same parity as wethers. Inferior scrt s were hard to sell.
