Bright weather today enabled hundreds of men working feverishly to repair damage done by rain and put the final touches to decorations. Inter-State and country visitors have, been pouring in by trainloads for some days and these, together have been taking an pportuniEy to visit the long route before a crush renders it impossible to traverse the route, which from end to end js a brilliant spectacle of waving bunting, greenery, arches, devices and mottoes. Every precaution is taken to restrain ci'owds and prevent a recurrence of such enthusiasm as inter, ferred with proceedings in Victoria. 'The public have been asked to refrain from untoward demonstrations, also from rushes; and from throwing confetti and flowers, and to assist bodies of police apd troops in their duties of seeing the programme carried out in an orderly manner.

The weather is fine and clear this morning. All conditions sire piomising. The route presents a brilliant spectacle in. the early sunlight. Long before daybreak long streams of people were wending their way to the vantage points around the harbour and cliffs outside to watch the Renown enter, and proceed up the'harbour. Prior to the Renown's arrival, harbour traffic was stopped, and thp way cleared for,the run up to the moorings iu Neutral Bay. The great'.battleship showed well up in the clear morning light as she drew in towards Hie Heads and swung through. For miles outside, the cliffs were black with watchers. The shares ■ and hills inside the harbour were alive with humanity. Tlie Renown made stately progress through lines of moored warships, booming out the Royal Salute as she passed, while the whistles of innumerable steamers added to the din of welcome, as she slowly slid to her anchorage outside the warships line. Tfieie were many larger vessels and hundreds of small’ craft- packed with sightseers, all gaily decorated, which combined in producing a splendid pageant, thft| am marked by intense enthusiasm. , *
