HEART FAILURE IN BUSH

CAPETOWN, June 9
General Ravenshavv, General Officer Commanding South Africa, died of heart failure while elephant hunting in the bush. The General was found to be missing from the shooting party and a search/ discovered the body in-tlie bush.

Later details of the death of Earl Ravensliaw, show that ii party were visiting the camp of Alajor Pretorius, the renowned elephant hunter. They wont for a walk armed, but not intending to shoot, and unexpectedly encountered a herd of elephants. In a hot pursuit after the elephants the others outstripped Ravensliaw, who was found to be missing when the party returned. Native trackers after a long search discovered Ravensbaw’s body in a tangled bush, face downwards, still grasping Ms rifle.
