The • Executive’s decision regarding the case of Denis. Gunn, the Ponsonby murderer, is not likely (to be reached until Monday week, owing to the impossibility of getting the necessary full meeting of Cabinet before that time. The Judge’s report has been received.
A YOUNG BURGLAR
AUCKLAND, June 9.
At the Police Court, Arthur Simons, aged-21, who. arrived from Wellington six weeks ago, admitted he had since lived on the proceeds of® l thefts, iHe had broken into six Auckland warehouses and stolen petty cash, iu one instance sixteen pounds, in addition to cheques" and promisory notes for £250which he didn’t attempt to cash. He committed two burglaries in' one night. He was found on tile premises of the To•tara Timber Coy., when the workmen arrived at seven iu the morning niul was arrested. He pleaded guilty and was committed for sentence, meantime being sent to Palmerston North to answer four burglary charges. ■ ' .
