McLEAN’S PICTURES.
Mr McLean presents to-night “Broken Threads”, an English picture starring Clnistie and Henry Edwards. In the village of Blossomly lived “Dippy”, a poor, crazed fellow who lived in his dreams -and who was searching for his beautiful Dream Lady. He was’, in reality, Jack Desmond, who on his wedding day had met with tragedy. 'He believed his bride bad been drowned in the mill race and in'a mad attempt at rescue be had been dashed on the docks—to recover but with memory and reason gone. Helen had been rescued by the lighthouse keeper, -and then ‘ ‘one lonely soul sought another lonely soul. Desmond was wanted for murder—on the day lie disappeared, the butler was found dead and circumstances pointed to Desmond as the murderer.
